The convictions and standards that shape life together at Gateway Assembly.
We hold to teaching drawn directly from Scripture, taught plainly and applied honestly to everyday life.
Members are encouraged to gather regularly for worship (Hebrews 10:25) and to support the church's mission through tithes and offerings.
We're called to live in harmony with one another, respecting and cooperating with the church's recognized leadership (Hebrews 12:14, 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13).
Members are called to a life set apart — free from practices that compromise faith, including involvement in secret societies and habits that work against a Christ-centered life.
We hold to a biblical pattern of monogamous marriage between a man and a woman, and to sexual purity outside of that covenant (1 Thessalonians 4:3, Ephesians 5:2-3).
Membership is a living commitment. A member who is absent from worship and church activities for four continuous months without good reason is considered to have stepped away from membership — and is warmly welcomed back after three continuous months of renewed attendance.
